The Taste of Piedmont

The Piedmont region is still relatively unknown to many cyclists. On the way to the much more famous Tuscany, you cross this province. Strange actually, because the Piedmont has a lot to offer and it is certainly a beautiful place to go cycling. With the Alps, Turin and the Mediterranean Sea nearby and rolling hills everywhere, the region is a true pearl.

The Taste of Piedmont actually says it all. You will not only enjoy cycling on this trip. The region has its best-known export product: Barolo wine. So we will taste them during the wine tasting! During the bike rides we will have a delicious lunch in restaurants or in our Radice Verde accommodation in Cissone. We are organizing a pizza evening and enjoying a delicious 10-course dinner at Da Lele. A culinary cycling trip to die for!

About the journey

In June we will enjoy the Piedmont. And by enjoying we mean that we will take a nice bike ride in the morning and that we will organize a wine tasting in the afternoon. The famous Barolo wine comes from Piedmont. It must be tasted! Enjoy the good Italian life on and off the bike!

It is quite possible to drive to Radice Verde in Cissone in Piedmont in one day. Radice Verde is our base for four days of enjoying cycling and La Dolce Vita.

Day 1:
Arrival at Radice Verde in Cissone. Check-in is possible from 3 p.m. We open around 6 p.m. with a welcome drink, an explanation of the program and the next day's ride. An ideal opportunity to provide you with the first tips on how to climb and descend properly. After the welcome drink we will sit down for dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Day 2:
On day two of the trip we will take the first group ride. We will explore the rolling hills in the area. The tips from the day before can be put into practice right away. Do you think 60 km is not long enough? Our guides are happy to take you for an extra bike ride.
We can have lunch along the route in Dogliani or Monforte d'Alba. In the evening, a wine tasting will be organized before dinner.
Group ride of 60 km

Day 3:
We are going to put a little more tension on the legs. An 80 km ride through the hills of Piedmont. When we cycle over the ridge, we enjoy a great view in clear weather. On one side you can see the majestic Alps and on the other side vineyards on beautiful hills with picturesque towns. In the evening we will have a delicious dinner in Murazzano at De Lele. Ten fantastic courses!
Group ride of 80 km

Day 4:
A relatively short ride. Leave early and then have a nice lunch in Montforte d'Alba. Enjoy a more or less rest day. This way you will be ready to attack the Agnello on day five!
Group ride of 40 km

Day 5:
The last day to enjoy La Dolce Vita. And how wonderful it is to put a true Queen Stage on the programme. We drive to Brossasco by car to climb the Colle d'Agnello from there! A giant of a mountain. The top is at an altitude of 2,700 meters! Would you rather take it a bit easier? No problem. We also have beautiful routes that you can cycle from Cissone. But we challenge you to come along and end the journey at great heights!
Group ride of 90 km

Day 6
Departure from Cissone for home.

Do you like cycling, but doesn't it have to take all day?
Is a ride of 60-80 km with a coffee and/or lunch stop along the way just for you?
Do you like to discover an unknown region with a group instead of going out alone?
Do you like cycling, but do you think enjoying La Dolce Vita (with a snack and a drink) next to the bike is just as important?
Do you think the 'away-from-home-together principle' is more important than racing and see how you get home?

Have you checked at least three of the five points? Then the trip to Piedmont is THE trip for you!

This is a Test.
